What is Reiki?
Reiki is a therapeutic practice often referred to as “energy healing.”
It originated in Japan in the early 1900’s and was developed by Mikao Usui.
The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words:
"rei," meaning universal, and "ki," meaning life energy or vital force.
In Reiki practice, practitioners engage with universal life energy to promote healing and relaxation in the recipient.
During an in-person Reiki session, the practitioner might place their hands lightly on or just above the recipient's body,
working through various energetic centers (chakras) to promote balance and energetic flow.
The idea is that energy flows through the practitioner to the recipient, promoting balance and
harmony within the body, mind, and spirit. It’s also possible to experience Reiki through a distance session,
allowing the recipient to receive energy healing from a comfortable location of their choosing.
Reiki is often used to reduce stress, promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and support overall well-being.
Lindsay practices Reiki with people, places, and pets.
If you, your team, your home, business, or pet could use support in neutralizing or balancing energy
that feels stressed, buzzy, chaotic, or disruptive - I’d love to help. You can book a virtual session here or
reach out to schedule an in-person session.
Lindsay was trained and attuned in Usui Reiki by Aki Hirata Baker and Manu Del Prete
in Brooklyn, NY in 2019, as well as Earth Evolution Reiki in 2020.
